Questions for the Gazette.

Our reporters compiled the most frequently asked questions. Cheryl declined to comment. We answered anyway.

What is Reign & Shine Interactive?+
An immersive, interactive entertainment experience brought directly to your event. Think larger-than-life games projected onto a wall — toddlers, kids, and adults throw, jump, and play through bowling, adventure games, brain teasers, archery, and more. We provide the balls. No screens in hands. No passive sitting. Full-body, fully engaged play the whole family can enjoy.
Who can play — is it really for all ages?+
Yes. Genuinely. Toddlers as young as 2 play alongside older kids and adults without any issue. The games respond to movement and ball impact so the experience scales naturally. We’ve watched grandparents, dads, and 3-year-olds all play the same game back to back. Nobody sat out.
Is it indoors or outdoors?+
Both. For daytime events, indoors is ideal — natural light can wash out the projection, so a room with controlled lighting gives you the best experience. If you have a plain light-colored wall we’ll use it. If not, we’ll bring a portable wall. For evening or outdoor events we set up our blackout tent, which fully controls the light environment. Note: the tent uses a blower similar to a bounce house to maintain its structure.
How much space is needed?+
Every space is different and we’ll discuss the specifics when you inquire to make sure we set you up for the best possible experience. Generally we need enough room for the wall, a safe throwing distance in front of it, and space for kids to move freely. Indoor rooms, garages, backyards, community centers, and park pavilions have all worked beautifully.
Do you need power?+
Yes — access to a standard power outlet is required. We’ll confirm the details when we discuss your setup. For outdoor locations without power access, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
How long does setup take?+
Approximately 90 minutes depending on the package and what’s included. We arrive ahead of your event start time so your guests walk into a fully ready experience. Breakdown is typically faster.
Can the volume be adjusted?+
Yes, game volume is fully adjustable. We can accommodate quiet indoor environments, outdoor open spaces, and everything in between. Just let us know your preference and we’ll set it before guests arrive.
Can you accommodate large groups?+
Yes. School field days, HOA community events, corporate family gatherings — we’ve done them all. Larger groups may require additional staff to manage rotations and keep the energy high. We’ll discuss what’s needed based on your guest count when you inquire.
Is it safe for toddlers?+
Yes. The wall responds to soft ball impact — no sharp edges, no dangerous components. We provide the balls and they’re appropriately sized and soft. Toddlers play happily alongside older kids throughout the full duration of events.
How far in advance should I book?+
Weekends fill quickly. We recommend reaching out at least three weeks ahead — though some dates go faster than that. The earlier you inquire, the better your chances of securing your preferred date.
What’s included in each package?+
Packages range from the Spark Session at $550 (ideal for schools and community events) up to the Galaxy Gala at $2,000 for larger celebrations. Each covers the interactive wall experience for a set duration and guest count. Add-ons include event styling, balloon installations, mini spa stations, and goodie bags. Full details are on the Packages page.
Who is Cheryl Dearborn?+
Investigation ongoing. What we know: she has impeccable taste, she is always composed, and she has never — not once — been surprised by how an event went. If you have a tip, you know where to find us.
